Santa Rosa, Petaluma and Healdsburg are on the Trump Administration’s new list of sanctuary jurisdictions.
The list, released Thursday by the Department of Homeland Security, features more than 500 jurisdictions. The Trump Administration says those places are getting in the way of the federal government’s immigration enforcement efforts. DHS says each jurisdiction will receive a formal notification from the government deeming them noncompliant.
They will also be told if they’re believed to be in violation of any federal criminal statutes.
