Cal Fire’s Sonoma-Lake-Napa Unit reports they will be fully staffed by June 17th, with 31 engines, five bulldozers, and a robust aerial firefighting fleet, including new night-time operation helicopters.
Sonoma County’s Department of Emergency Management Director Jeff DuVall stated they’ve strengthened alert systems and updated evacuation maps. Preparedness efforts this year include expanded alert and warning tests, community training, and ongoing fuel reduction initiatives like the chipper program and roadside clearance projects funded by Measure H.
