Sebastopol City Council To Address Rising Homeless Population

Sebastopol is grappling with a rising homeless population despite its efforts to provide supportive housing.

According to the Press Democrat, a key debate centers on who should provide homeless outreach: West County Community Services, which has struggled with reduced funding, or the Sebastopol Police Department.

The City Council will soon decide on allocating $40,000 for these services, with many also urging Sonoma County to provide more financial support for what they see as a county-wide issue.
