A protester is facing charges on suspicion of climbing a tree and refusing to come down.
The man, arrested on Thursday morning, was allegedly trying to block tree cutting along Santa Rosa’s Joe Rodota Trail. The Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office says he tried to put a stop to tree cutting for two straight days. On Wednesday, work crews left after the same man allegedly handcuffed himself to a tree.
Three other protesters joined the man in briefly delaying a planned vegetation removal operation.
