The Sonoma County Fair is gearing up for its “Hot Dogs and Cool Cats” theme, running August 1st through the 10th.
The Press Democrat reports for the first time in its history, the fair will not feature horse racing due to rising costs and a lack of horses. However, fair-goers can still enjoy a full lineup of events, including Corgi races, a stunt dog show, and the World’s Ugliest Dog Contest.
Despite the absence of horse racing, organizers say the number of local exhibits is up this year.
