Construction of nearly 800 new homes is underway in northwest Santa Rosa.
The homes will be built on a former dairy farm off Guerneville Road and Lance Drive. Crews started clearing the 34-acre site this week, before building new roads, utilities and housing. The project will include 98 single-family homes and 672 apartments.
The community will also feature pools, playgrounds, a bike path and a commercial building.
