Santa Rosa speed limits are about to drop on over two dozen streets, including major roads like Santa Rosa Avenue and Fulton Road.
According to a report from the Press Democrat, the City Council is expected to approve a new plan to lower speeds by 5 mph on these street segments, which have been identified as high-collision areas. This change is part of the city’s Vision Zero initiative to improve traffic safety.
New signs will be installed over the coming months, and police will issue warnings for a 30-day grace period once the signs are up.
