The LIME Foundation’s 10th annual Believe in the Dream Legacy Gala saw record-breaking success this month, raising hundreds of thousands of dollars to support vocational training for North Bay youth.
Held at the Luther Burbank Center in Santa Rosa on September 11th, the event drew over 300 people and raised an astonishing $513,000. That’s a huge jump from last year’s $314,000 total. According to a report from the Press Democrat, LIME Foundation founder Letitia Hanke says the funds will go directly to training and educating underserved youth, helping them secure jobs in construction and the trades.
The gala also featured guest speaker, multi-mission research astronaut Kellie Gerardi, as well as appearances by successful graduates of the foundation’s NextGen Trades Academy.
