More than 31-thousand Kaiser Permanente workers across California are walking off the job in a five-day strike that began yesterday.
The walkout affects over 500 hospitals and facilities along the West Coast, including in Oregon, Washington, and Hawaii. Represented by the United Nurses Associations of California and the Union of Health Care Professionals, the workers say this is the largest strike in the unions’ history.
Those participating include nurses, pharmacists, midwives, physician assistants, and other health care specialists.
