Two Women Injured In Napa Crosswalk Accident Seeking Damages

Two women severely injured last November when a Rolls-Royce SUV struck them in a downtown Napa crosswalk are suing the elderly driver, Robert Knox Thomas.

The Press Democrat reports the lawsuit, filed this week, alleges the crash was not a mistake but the “culmination of rage, aggression, and a deliberate disregard for human life,” citing eyewitness accounts of Thomas driving angrily moments before the collision. The victims, one of whom is paralyzed, are seeking damages.

Though police previously charged the 78-year-old with minor traffic infractions, the women argue the incident was aggravated by road rage.
