Petaluma Police Respond To Two Reckless Driving Incidents Last Weekend

Petaluma Police responded to two separate reckless driving incidents over the weekend.

The Petaluma Argus Courier reports on Saturday, a 14-year-old boy on an electric motorcycle fled from officers by driving over a median. He was cited for reckless driving and driving without a license.

Then on Sunday, officers stopped a 21-year-old man who was road-racing another vehicle on Lakeville Highway, reaching speeds of nearly 70 miles per hour in a 30 zone.

He was cited for engaging in a speed contest. Petaluma Police urge parents and community members to educate drivers about the rules of the road.
