Santa Rosa Detectives arrested Robert Lopez of Lake County after an investigation showed he was directing others to steal LEGOs and then reselling the stolen sets and collectible minifigures.
A search warrant at his home revealed over $6,000 in stolen LEGOs and tens of thousands of loose pieces, consistent with a large-scale fencing operation. Crucially, detectives also recovered multiple firearms and high-capacity magazines.
Lopez, a convicted felon, was booked into Sonoma County jail on charges including Organized Retail Theft and multiple counts of Felon in Possession of a Firearm.
