A man was killed yesterday afternoon following a single-vehicle crash on Highway 101 in Santa Rosa, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The fatal crash occurred around 2:30 p.m. on the northbound side of the highway, just south of Yolanda Avenue. Authorities say the driver of a Ford SUV lost control, struck the center divider, crossed all lanes of traffic, and ultimately rolled into a ditch.
The SUV was found upside down in the ditch, partially submerged. The driver was transported to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital, where he later died.
His identity is being withheld pending family notification.
