A 79-year-old man dies Monday after being ejected from his car in a single-vehicle crash in Glen Allen.
Authorities say the vehicle went off the road on Cavedale Road near Trinity Road and rolled down an embankment. Firefighters located the man about 100 feet down the hillside and pronounced him dead at the scene. A high-angle rope rescue system was used to recover the body.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation, and the victim’s identity will be released after next of kin are notified.
