Record Amount Raised At This Year’s “WigOut Sonoma” Fundraiser

A crowd of 120 revelers sporting colorful wigs gathered at Jacuzzi Family Vineyards on September 25th for the annual “WigOut Sonoma” fundraiser, raising a record amount for a vital local cause.

The Press Democrat reports the event generated more than $135,000 for Cancer Support Sonoma, exceeding its $125,000 goal. The fundraiser, which features a live auction and guests wearing wigs to honor those who have lost their hair during cancer treatment, is known for its blend of humor and serious purpose.

Cancer Support Sonoma uses the funds to provide integrated therapies—including acupuncture, therapeutic massage, counseling, and support groups—to individuals and families in the Sonoma Valley coping with a cancer diagnosis.

The organization also supports end-of-life doula services.
