A man who was the subject of a massive search in Marin County during the weekend is okay.
It turns out, he was just passed out drunk in a nearby field. The man’s friends reported him missing early Sunday, in the Olema Ranch Campground.
Nearly 40 first responders arrived in the darkness, with highly trained search dogs, e-bikes and other equipment. Rescue officials say the man walked back to his campsite about an hour after the search started. He had only been about a half mile away.
He was evaluated by medics and released.
