Former Sonoma County Farm Bureau Operations Manager Accused of Forgery & Grand Theft

The Sonoma County Farm Bureau is reeling after the arrest of its former operations manager, Samantha Piehoff, on suspicion of forgery and grand theft.

Per the Press Democrat, Piehoff, who comes from a well-known family in the organization, is accused of illegally taking an estimated $375,000. Executive Director Dayna Ghirardelli called the staff “shocked” and “devastated” that the alleged fraud came from a trusted insider.

The Farm Bureau immediately fired the employee and launched a financial review.

The Sonoma County District Attorney’s Office has yet to file formal charges, but Piehoff was arrested on October 16th.
