Santa Rosa Police arrested a local man last night after a hit-and-run crash involving multiple parked cars.
The incident began around 9 p.m. Thursday near Stony Point Road and Hearn Avenue when a silver Chevy Silverado struck three vehicles and kept driving on a flat tire. With help from a community member and the Sonoma County Sheriff’s helicopter, officers tracked the truck until it stopped near Rose and Burbank Avenues.
The occupants fled but were quickly caught. The driver, 33-year-old Eric Elias Gayosso of Santa Rosa, was arrested for DUI, driving on a suspended license, and a probation violation. Fortunately, the occupant in one of the struck vehicles was uninjured.
