A financial controversy is rocking the Petaluma American Little League.
The Petaluma Argus-Courier reports former president Chase Parker and his wife were removed from the board after he admitted his wife, the treasurer, had been falsifying financial records. Parker claims the issue was overspending and bad bookkeeping, telling the paper no league money was stolen.
However, the new President, Hamid Khalili, insists many of Parker’s statements are “completely incorrect.”
A police investigation is underway, though no charges have been filed yet. In good news, the league announced an anonymous donor has resolved their outstanding financial balances.
