Due to recent storms, Cal Fire has lifted the requirement for residential burn permits in parts of the North Bay.
The Press Democrat reports this applies to single and two-family homes in Napa, Sonoma, Lake, Colusa, Solano, and Yolo counties for burning dry, on-property vegetation. A couple of key rules remain–check local air quality approval days, keep piles under four feet, and have water ready for constant supervision. Agricultural burns are excluded.
Cal Fire warns that the suspension could return if hot, dry weather returns.
