The City of Rohnert Park has canceled tomorrow’s Veterans Day event, citing the ongoing government shutdown and issues with an event partner.
City officials said the Color Guard withdrew due to the shutdown, and unforeseen challenges made it difficult to provide a proper tribute.
Officials said holding a partial event would not honor veterans appropriately and promised a stronger celebration next year.
