Animal Rights Activist Sentenced To 90 Days

Berkeley animal rights activist Zoe Rosenberg has been sentenced to 90 days in connection with break-ins at Petaluma Poultry in 2023.

Judge Kenneth Gnoss ordered 30 days in jail and 60 days through a jail-alternative program, followed by two years of probation. A jury found the 23-year-old guilty of one felony conspiracy and three misdemeanors after a monthlong trial, citing incidents where she entered the facility, searched files, placed GPS trackers on vehicles, and took four chickens.

Rosenberg has maintained she did nothing wrong and expressed no remorse.
