SRPD Special Enforcement Team Makes Two Arrests Following Suspected Drug Deal

On Saturday, November 22nd, Santa Rosa Police Special Enforcement Team officers made two arrests following a suspected drug deal near 2226 Cleveland Avenue.

Officers detained 37-year-old Carlos Muro Valdivia and 36-year-old Alberto Luis Garcia.

A K-9 search of their vehicle located a loaded 9mm handgun and approximately 80 grams of suspected methamphetamine packaged for sale. Both subjects are prohibited from possessing firearms.

Muro Valdivia and Garcia were arrested and booked into Sonoma County Jail on multiple felony charges, including possession of firearms and narcotics for sale.

The SRPD Special Enforcement Team was deployed to address illegal firearm possession and gun violence in the city.
