Santa Rosa police have arrested a 63-year-old man they say posed as a talent recruiter to solicit women for sex acts.
Investigators say Michael Tarvid used a fake adult-film business to lure women into recording so-called “audition” videos. Police then received a tip that he was also attempting to target minors.
An undercover detective posing as a 14-year-old communicated with Tarvid, who allegedly arranged a meeting to film an audition he claimed would be sent to paying clients. Officers detained him at a Santa Rosa rail station last week.
Bail is set at 50-thousand dollars.
