High winds and heavy rain on Christmas Eve and into Christmas Day left thousands of North Bay residents without power, downed trees and power lines, and flooded roads.
The storm, the second in a row, brought heavy rain, gusty winds, thunderstorms, and pockets of hail, according to the National Weather Service. Roads were closed across Sonoma County, and nearly ten-thousand PG&E customers remained without power by mid-afternoon.
Santa Rosa recorded two inches of rain in three days, while some coastal mountains saw over five inches.
A flood watch is in effect through 10 p.m. tonight.
