A former Sonoma County employee was sentenced to 36 years in state prison yesterday for the sexual abuse and grooming of a young girl.
According to the Press Democrat, 45-year-old Christina Whisman pleaded guilty to multiple counts, including forcible lewd acts on a child and providing cocaine to a minor. Prosecutors described a disturbing pattern of behavior where Whisman hosted parties for local children involving drugs and pornography to build influence.
Judge Paige Hein handed down the sentence in a brief hearing Thursday, following a statement from Whisman asking the victim for forgiveness.
