Authorities in Sebastopol are on high alert after multiple mountain lion sightings Sunday morning.
The Press Democrat reports between 9:30 and 11:30 a.m., the big cat was spotted roaming backyards on Jewel Avenue and Walnut Lane, with one resident capturing video of the animal on their patio. Sebastopol Police and Fish and Wildlife officials searched the area, but believe the animal has since headed west toward the outskirts of town.
Police are asking residents to remain vigilant and report any further sightings to the department or North Bay Animal Services.
