The “Gateway to Wine Country” is making a comeback as Cornerstone Sonoma prepares for a grand reopening this Friday, April 24, following years of neglect.
According to the Press Democrat, once a crown jewel of the Sonoma Valley, the nine-acre site fell into disrepair under its previous disgraced owners but was recently purchased and revitalized by Highland Pacific Capital.
The new owners have spent months restoring the famous gardens, ponds, and event spaces to recapture the magic of the historic retail and wedding hub. Beyond the physical makeover, the site is refocusing on community inclusion, already partnering with local LGBTQ+ organizations to host major events like Gay Wine Weekend. Friday’s celebration will feature a formal ribbon-cutting and live music, signaling a fresh economic start for the iconic landmark.
The public is invited to explore the refurbished grounds and meet the new team dedicated to restoring the property’s former glory.
