Multiple Sonoma County Agencies Team Up To Conduct Human Trafficking Operation

The Santa Rosa Police Department joined forces with several local and federal agencies this past Wednesday for a coordinated human trafficking operation.

The mission focused on identifying victims of commercial sexual exploitation and providing them with immediate paths to safety. Detectives contacted five adult women during the sweep, all of whom were offered support services and resources through the nonprofit Verity.

Officials emphasized that the operation aimed to address the force, fraud, and coercion often hidden within the commercial sex trade. The Santa Rosa Police Department and the county’s Human Trafficking Task Force continue to urge anyone with information on exploitation to contact local authorities or the national hotline.

All five individuals contacted during the operation were released from the scene after receiving outreach.
