Petaluma is the latest city to receive a free “Health to Go” vending machine, which launched at the regional library to provide 24/7 access to essential safety supplies.
Per the Petaluma Argus-Courier, the interactive dispenser offers everything from Narcan and hygiene kits to socks and firearm safety locks, all free of charge and without red tape. Since its quiet installation in late April, the machine has already dispensed nearly 200 items to those facing financial or social barriers to care.
This expansion is part of a countywide program that has distributed over 13,000 items since last year, utilizing grant funding and donated supplies to offset costs.
Officials say the initiative is a “win-win,” bringing cutting-edge public health directly to the front lines where the community needs it most.
