A community gathering turned chaotic Tuesday night as a violent brawl broke out at the Sonoma Plaza Market.
Police say the fight erupted during a live music performance at the Grinstead Amphitheater, drawing a crowd of nearly two dozen onlookers. Four juvenile girls and one young woman were involved in the physical altercation, which left two of the girls hospitalized for evaluation.
Authorities quickly moved in to arrest a third girl and the adult woman involved in the melee.
While the market’s festivities were cut short by the violence, investigators are still working to determine exactly what sparked the confrontation.
