A planned multi-day music festival at the Calistoga Fairgrounds this October has been officially canceled by its producers, Ripe Productions.
According to the Press Democrat, the rock festival was meant to launch a five-year run aimed at revitalizing the city-owned property and boosting local tourism. Interim City Manager Mitch Celaya announced the setback but noted that officials are already looking for alternative events to fill the vacant fall slot. Despite the cancellation, other activities at the 70-acre fairgrounds are moving forward as planned.
Calistoga is gearing up to host its free second annual Ag Fair and Wine Competition at the site this coming Saturday.
