A Sonoma County courtroom heard damning evidence Thursday against Ramon Nunez Galvan, the man accused of providing the fentanyl-laced cocaine that killed two Santa Rosa teenagers and hospitalized two others in February 2025.
The Press Democrat reports detectives testified that a search of Nunez’s car uncovered a drug ledger tracking sales and buyers that directly lined up with the victims’ recent purchases, alongside police testimony that Nunez was fully aware of fentanyl’s fatal dangers. While the defense seized on a DEA chemist’s testimony that several seized bags showed no signs of fentanyl during evaluation, prosecutors countered that those findings did not rule out the drug’s prior presence.
Nunez currently faces two counts of murder and five additional drug-related charges, including providing narcotics to minors.
Judge Lynnette Brown has ordered all parties to return on May 29th for final arguments, which will determine if Nunez will stand trial before a jury.
