Sonoma County Contractor Likely to Get Extension Despite Audit

The Sonoma County Board of Supervisors is expected to extend its contract with a company managing three housing sites for the homeless. A vote is expected tomorrow. That’s despite an audit of DEMA Consulting and Management’s previous billing not being finished yet. The reported contract extension would give the company three-point-three-million-dollars for managing three housing sites through November. The payment would be retroactive to July 1st and good through November 30th. Sonoma County’s independently elected auditor and controller, Erick Roeser, is currently auditing DEMA.
