Suspect in Vallejo Boy’s Murder May Have Killed Another Child

The suspect recently arrested for the 1987 murder of a Vallejo boy might have killed another child. Fred Cain the Third was arrested in Oregon last week after DNA evidence linked him to the murder of six-year-old Jeremy Stoner. The young boy had been abducted in Vallejo in 1987 and was later found to have been sexually assaulted and strangled to death. Now, prosecutors say Cain might be responsible for killing nine-year-old Eric Coy. Coy was stabbed to death in Martinez a month before Stoner’s murder and Coy’s case had remained open for decades.
