Santa Rosa is seeking feedback on next year’s budget. The city council is beginning to look at the 2023-24 fiscal budget and if you have suggestions on budget priorities, now is the time to speak up. The opportunity comes as city administrators are warning they expect a deficit next year because of rising payroll expenses and other operating factors. While the council meeting starts at 3 PM, the hearing on the fiscal budget is expected to start around 5 PM. Public comment is welcome at that time. Department budgets will be presented in May and a final budget will be approved in June.
