State health officials are reacting to Governor Gavin Newsom’s newly released budget proposal. The newly unveiled spending proposal includes more than $230-billion for all health and human services programs in the next year. California Health and Human Services Secretary Dr. Mark Ghaly says that includes prescription drug affordability, the Master Plan for Aging, expanding access to health care through Medi-Cal regardless of immigration status, and improving behavioral health care and access for children and youth.
