Santa Rosa City Schools Staying Quiet About Stabbing at Montgomery High School

Santa Rosa City Schools officials aren’t saying much more about Wednesday’s stabbing on the campus of Montgomery High School that left a 16-year-old student dead. Superintendent Anna Trunnell was named as the only point person for media inquiries about the stabbing. But, she was not made available for interviews on Thursday. The district has also sent an email to faculty and staff, telling them not to speak to the media. And, parents of Montgomery High School students say they’ve heard nothing more from Principal Adam Paulson or other administrators since Wednesday night.

Students and staff continue to mourn the death of a 16-year-old student following a stabbing at Montgomery High School. At least 50 people attended a prayer walk on the campus on Thursday morning, less than a day after the boy died. The prayer walk was hosted by New Vintage Church, a local Christian organization. The Montgomery High School campus remains closed today. Meanwhile, concerns and confusion about campus safety continue to grow.
