Increased Traffic for Skiers Headed to Tahoe

A new report shows California skiers are enduring long hours to get to some of Lake Tahoe’s resorts. The San Francisco Chronicle says folks have waited in traffic between two to four hours on weekends from Interstate 80 to either Palisades Tahoe or Northstar California. That’s caused headaches not just for those looking to hit the slopes but also for residents of the area.  Those living in the region have pointed at lifestyle changes as part of the problem, including the rise of remote work. While more public transit and electronic signs displaying parking lot information has been added over the years, residents believe more needs to be done.
