A 64-year-old man who suffers from dementia and Alzheimer’s has now been missing for close to a week. Lawrence “Larry” Atchison left his home in Bennett Valley last Monday afternoon. The Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office’s volunteer dive team searched local creeks on Saturday, but did not find anything. Community and family members have also been conducting their own searches for Atchison. Authorities are asking residents to check footage on their security cameras for signs of Atchison, as well as their yards, outbuildings, cars, under brush, under porches, decks, drainage entrances, or any other places where someone may choose to hide or seek shelter.
