A man has been arrested after attempting to break into a storage shed in Petaluma. Last Thursday night, police received a call about a man attempting to break into a storage shed at the Marina. Officers arrived and caught 45-year-old George Castangola in the act of unscrewing the hinge screws to the front door of the shed. After detaining Castangola, they found screwdriver, wrench, and vice-grip locking pliers in his possession. They also learned Castangola was on active misdemeanor probation. He was arrested for attempted burglary, possession of burglary tools, and violation of probation.
