The U.S. Geological Survey is monitoring the Cobb Mountain area after it experienced about 100 earthquakes in a 24-hour period. The largest quake was a magnitude four-point-four that hit late Tuesday night. It was followed by another two-dozen shakers within the next ten minutes. Four of them were between magnitudes two-point-two and two-point-eight. There are no reports of injuries or significant damage.
