California Ahead of Zero-Emission Vehicle Sales Goal

Another milestone for cleaner air in California. The state just beat its goal of selling one-and-a-half million zero-emission vehicles two years ahead of schedule. State Senator Alex Padilla tweeted it’s a big deal for the climate and economy. Governor Gavin Newsom echoed that, saying it starts with making cars more affordable and deploying chargers across neighborhoods. The new goal is to have all cars sold by 2035 be zero-emission vehicles.
