President Biden Continues Tour of California After Announcing Climate Investments

The Biden administration is rolling out $600-million in investments to help coastal communities fight climate change. President Biden made the announcement today after touring a nature preserve in Palo Alto, California.  The investments will be funded by Biden’s climate and infrastructure bills and is intended to fight rising sea levels, storm surge and tidal hurricanes.  The president said wetlands are critical buffers between rising tides and at-risk communities.  He called climate change an existential threat to humanity.

President Biden is gearing up for two more campaign stops in the Bay Area tonight. He has fundraisers in Larkspur and San Francisco after attending two last night. Today, the President will speak at an event about managing risks of artificial intelligence.
