California’s new budget, which takes effect Saturday, includes four-point-two-five-million-dollars for Sonoma County’s parks and firefighting efforts. The state will fund the redevelopment of parks in Sonoma Valley, and pay for a new fire truck for the Sonoma County Fire District. Maxwell Farms Regional Park and Larson Regional Park are each getting a facelift. A 13-million-dollar overhaul of Maxwell Farms Park started last year.
