A section of Highway 12 in Sonoma County will be shut down for several weeks in September. The highway between Madrone and Agua Caliente roads will be shut down for a month while crews demolish and then rebuild the Hooker Creek Bridge. The closure begins September 5th and the highway is expected to be closed for 30 days. The bridge’s structural integrity had been lessened in recent years, leading Cal Trans officials to replace the bridge entirely.
