Police have made an arrest in the August 25th shooting on Russell Avenue. Cotati resident Gabriel Burgess was arrested for the shooting that left one person with a gunshot wound. The victim was treated at a local hospital and later released. Burgess is being charged for attempted murder, robbery, and selling a controlled substance. Detectives determined that the shooting had to do with a drug transaction. It occurred in a vehicle near the intersection of Russell Avenue and Cleveland Avenue.
