Tiny Homes Project in Roseland Has Failed

Efforts to build transitional housing for homeless Latinos in Roseland appear to have failed. In May of last year, Sonoma County gave Sonoma Applied Village Services federal emergency funding to build a tiny home village for 50 people. The homeless services provider had the property that would host the tiny homes picked out. But, the sellers backed away from a deal twice. Then, earlier this week, the Sonoma County Board of Supervisors decided not to renew funding for the nearly two-million-dollar project. Sonoma Applied Village Services got over $700-thousand for the tiny home village and they are returning those funds.
