Jury Still Debating Petaluma Animal Activist Case

Today will be day six of jury deliberations in the trial of an animal activist accused of leading two protests at poultry farms near Petaluma in 2018 and 2019. Wayne Hsiung is facing four counts related to trespassing and conspiracy. The jury still cannot reach a verdict on three of the four counts. A foreperson for the jury says more than nine votes were taken, with most being eleven to one. But, it’s unclear if the majority of the jurors are voting guilty or not guilty.
