A two-story house has been destroyed in a fire in Napa County. Early Sunday morning, firefighters got a call about a house fire on Manley Lane, just off Highway 29 in Rutherford. They arrived to find the unoccupied house fully inflamed. Immediate priority shifted to protecting adjacent structures that were threatened, including a historic tank house, which engine crews were able to save. Firefighters remained on scene through the morning to ensure that the fire was completely extinguished. No injuries were reported. The cause is under investigation.
